Description
Ian Wright has quit the BBC as a football pundit amid claims that the corporation’s match coverage is too stuffy. There will be people all over the country turning on their television sets at the news. Rather bizarrely, Wright coupled disquiet at an old-fashioned, staid format with the complaint that he had been forced to adopt the role of “comedy jester”.
